Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 16, 2026 • Effective Immediately

The Explorer is an automated multi-platform social media publishing and analytics platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding your account credentials and personal data according to global standards and partner platform policies (including Meta, Google, and TikTok).

1. Information We Collect

When you use The Explorer and connect your social media profiles, we collect only the minimum required information to perform social publishing and analytics retrieval:

  • Account Profile Data: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials when creating an Explorer account.
  • Connected Social Identity: Page IDs, Account names, profile usernames, and authorized OAuth access tokens granted by you during the authorization flow.
  • Content Uploads: Video files, descriptions, tags, captions, and thumbnail metadata you upload for distribution.
  • Performance Analytics: Aggregate video view counts, engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares, reach), and status logs returned via public APIs.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is strictly used to deliver core platform services:

  • Publishing videos and Reels directly to your authorized Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, and YouTube channels.
  • Managing automated content A/B testing and algorithmic discovery hooks upon your explicit request.
  • Syncing live performance data to your dashboard to evaluate video viewership and reach.
  • We never sell your personal information or content to third parties or advertising data brokers.

3. Security & Token Encryption

All OAuth tokens received from Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google (YouTube), and TikTok are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption. Secret keys are stored in secure environment variables and never logged or exposed to client-side code.
